Larceny in the 81st pick lands the Commanders a D-, Knight Jr. and all.

The phones were a trap the Commanders kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal. A D- that will need time and luck to look better.

A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want. They are betting Higgins proves the room right and everyone else wrong. Getting Knight Jr. where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

Spend now, pay later; the math only works if this class delivers.
