The Bears did not so much draft Jared Wiley as overpay for him, 57 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.

The Solomon pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at interior defensive lineman, running back and other spots. They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it.
