The Dolphins won the night they stopped Cisse from sliding. Grade: C+.

Somebody in the Round 3 slot was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Dolphins sat still while Brandon Cisse, the No. 43 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. Fine in stretches, shaky in others: a C+.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. It is not that Cisse is a bad player; it is that the Dolphins had louder needs to answer first.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman. Value over need was the throughline, for better and worse.

If Avieon Terrell and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.
