A franchise passer in Mendoza headlines a B weekend for the Jets.

The search is over. The Jets handed the keys to Fernando Mendoza, and the whole operation now runs on his development. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

They will need Williams to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The Allen value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with quarterback chief among the fixes.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
