There is reaching, and then there is DeMonte Capehart at pick No. 237. The Jaguars jumped the board by 30 and dared it to prove them wrong. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.

It is not that Smith is a bad player; it is that the Jaguars had louder needs to answer first. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through linebacker.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
