Draft Grade — Jaguars
Overall B
ValueB NeedA- TradesA- FutureC
No fireworks, just a tidy B for the Jaguars.

You can draft well and still miss the point. The Jaguars did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to safety, which was the need that mattered most. Good, not great, and the B says as much.

However the rest shakes out, Harris at that price is a win they earned. Oladejo has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made.

Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.

Pick Analysis
Pick5 Rnd1 Mason Graham
In the Round 1 slot they get a wrecking ball inside at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick20 Rnd1 Armand Membou
In the 20th pick they get protection for the quarterback, outstanding value to boot. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick70 Rnd3 Tre Harris
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Tre Harris at the 70th overall pick. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick88 Rnd3 Mason Taylor
Mason Taylor slid further than he should have, and Round 3, Pick 24 is lovely value for the tight end. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick107 Rnd4 Devin Neal
They let Devin Neal come to them and pounced at No. 107. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick126 Rnd4 Oluwafemi Oladejo
They liked Oluwafemi Oladejo enough to skip the value, taking him in pick No. 126. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick142 Rnd5 Quincy Riley
No drama and no debate, Quincy Riley went about where he belonged in pick 142. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick155 Rnd5 Tyler Shough
They read the board right and Tyler Shough was the payoff at slot 155. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick194 Rnd6 Drew Kendall
A straight-up fair deal on Drew Kendall at pick No. 194, value and slot in agreement. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
