Draft Grade — Jaguars
Overall B+
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesA+ FutureB-
Nobody dealt better than the Jaguars this weekend: B+.

The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Jaguars watched Luke McCaffrey slide 31 picks past his grade and did not hesitate.

The cost of the Henderson reach is exactly the players who went right after him. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. A whole weekend of picks and linebacker is somehow still a want.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.

Pick Analysis
Pick27 Rnd1 Amarius Mims
In pick 27 they get a plug-and-play piece up front at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick48 Rnd2 Kamren Kinchens
Kamren Kinchens at slot 48 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick71 Rnd3 Mike Sainristil
Fair-plus on Mike Sainristil, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick90 Rnd3 Zak Zinter
A conviction pick on Zak Zinter at the 90th overall pick that the board grades a round light. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick96 Rnd3 Brenden Rice
Brenden Rice at slot 96 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick105 Rnd4 McKinnley Jackson
They jumped the gun on McKinnley Jackson, taking him earlier than his grade liked. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick152 Rnd5 Cody Schrader
Cody Schrader in pick No. 152 is fair value, right on his grade. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick195 Rnd6 Luke McCaffrey
They will replay Luke McCaffrey at pick 195 for years; that is how good the value is. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick211 Rnd6 LaDarius Henderson
LaDarius Henderson in No. 211 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick234 Rnd7 Frank Gore Jr.
Frank Gore Jr. in the Round 7 slot is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
