Walker should have been long gone. The Jaguars pounced, and earned a B-.

Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Deone Walker got past him. The Jaguars do not have to explain a thing at Round 4, Pick 24. The bottom line is a respectable B-.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through linebacker.

It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.

In pick No. 24 they get a centerfielder for the defense at fair value. A real need, handled.
Pick36 Rnd2 Kenneth Grant
Kenneth Grant slid further than he should have, and the Round 2 slot is lovely value for the interior defensive lineman. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick64 Rnd2 Donovan Ezeiruaku
Donovan Ezeiruaku at slot 64 is money in the bank, a edge rusher taken below his worth. A minor need, but a need all the same.

Quietly one of the better values of the day, Jayden Higgins at No. 83. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.

They took Jared Wilson at par in Round 3, Pick 33, which is nothing to complain about. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.

A reasonable price with a little left over, Cam Skattebo in the 107th overall pick. The roster fit checks out.
