Draft Grade — Jaguars
Overall B
ValueB NeedA- TradesB- FutureB-
A sensible, unshowy class lands the Jaguars a B.

The tape said wait; the Jaguars did not. Antwaun Powell-Ryland went at Round 4, Pick 24, a good 31 picks before the board was ready. No fireworks, but a solid B.

That Brooks pick is the receipt they will wave around later. That linebacker hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.

Pick Analysis
Pick5 Rnd1 Mason Graham
In the 5th pick they get an anchor for the defensive front at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick36 Rnd2 Tyler Booker
Tyler Booker in pick No. 36 is fair value, right on his grade. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick70 Rnd3 Maxwell Hairston
They took Maxwell Hairston at par in slot 70, which is nothing to complain about. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick88 Rnd3 Andrew Mukuba
Good price on Andrew Mukuba in pick 88, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick107 Rnd4 Savion Williams
They read the board right and Savion Williams was the payoff at Round 4, Pick 5. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick126 Rnd4 Antwaun Powell-Ryland
Antwaun Powell-Ryland in No. 126 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick142 Rnd5 Jake Majors
Nice patience on Jake Majors, who had no business lasting to Round 5, Pick 4. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick182 Rnd6 Kyle Williams
The board had Kyle Williams higher than the 182nd overall pick, and the wide receiver fell to them anyway. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick194 Rnd6 Oronde Gadsden II
A market-rate tight end, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Oronde Gadsden II. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick221 Rnd7 Tahj Brooks
They barely believed it either: Tahj Brooks still on the board at pick 221. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
