Draft Grade — Jaguars
Overall A-
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesA+ FutureA
Nobody dealt better than the Jaguars this weekend: A-.

The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Jaguars reached some 114 spots for Paris Shand, and value like that does not grow back.

However the rest shakes out, Smith at that price is a win they earned. They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own.

A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want.

Add it up and few war rooms did better this weekend, Will Campbell and all.

Pick Analysis
Pick11 Rnd1 Will Campbell
In No. 11 they get an anchor for the offensive line, reach and all. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick34 Rnd2 Nick Emmanwori
They robbed the room for Nick Emmanwori here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick42 Rnd2 Dylan Fairchild
They liked Dylan Fairchild enough to skip the value, taking him in slot 42. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick65 Rnd3 Tacario Davis
A big swing on Tacario Davis at the 65th overall pick, well ahead of any board in the building. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick97 Rnd3 Tyler Warren
Taking Tyler Warren in pick 97 is close to grand larceny; a tight end that good had no business lasting this long. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick103 Rnd4 Jay Higgins
Somehow Jay Higgins was still sitting there in pick No. 103, and they pounced on premier linebacker value. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick128 Rnd4 Jake Majors
They barely believed it either: Jake Majors still on the board at No. 128. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick139 Rnd5 Brashard Smith
A running back of that caliber at Round 5, Pick 1 is the definition of value, full stop. The roster fit checks out.
Pick178 Rnd6 Paris Shand
A wild overpay on Paris Shand in pick No. 178, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick192 Rnd6 Kyren Lacy
They reached into another round for Kyren Lacy, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick216 Rnd7 Kevin Winston Jr.
Kevin Winston Jr. at slot 216 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick242 Rnd7 Ben Yurosek
Ben Yurosek in the Round 7 slot is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
