Nothing loud, just a tidy B- for the Jaguars.

The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Jaguars reached some 109 spots for Jordan Strachan, and value like that does not grow back. No fireworks, but a solid B-.

Smith-Wade at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.

In the 17th overall pick they get a blindside protector. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick48 Rnd2 Mike Sainristil
Mike Sainristil at Round 2, Pick 16 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.

No drama and no debate, Christian Mahogany went about where he belonged in pick No. 96. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.

The board had cheaper options than Jamari Thrash at slot 114, and it noticed. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.

A premium they did not need to pay, Theo Johnson a notch or two before his time. It fills a real need, too.

Somehow Chau Smith-Wade was still sitting there in No. 153, and they pounced on premier cornerback value. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
