Draft Grade — Jaguars
Overall D-
ValueB- NeedA- TradesF FutureC
Best value of the weekend goes to the Jaguars for Perkins Jr.: D-.

Call it larceny. Harold Perkins Jr. sat on the board until Round 7, Pick 5, and the Jaguars did not need to be asked twice.

Reaching for Ewers left real value on the table behind him. The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. They punted on offensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

It is a steep hill from here, and the grade knows it.

Pick Analysis
Pick4 Rnd1 Tetairoa McMillan
In pick No. 4 they get a No. 1 receiver at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick35 Rnd2 Quinn Ewers
Quinn Ewers at slot 35 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick71 Rnd3 Deone Walker
A straight-up fair deal on Deone Walker at No. 71, value and slot in agreement. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick92 Rnd3 Deontae Lawson
The board had Deontae Lawson higher than the 92nd pick, and the linebacker fell to them anyway. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick131 Rnd4 Andrew Mukuba
Andrew Mukuba in Round 4, Pick 30 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick142 Rnd5 Barrett Carter
Barrett Carter in pick 142 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick180 Rnd6 Nicholas Singleton
Nicholas Singleton at the Round 6 slot is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick219 Rnd7 Harold Perkins Jr.
They will replay Harold Perkins Jr. at the 219th overall pick for years; that is how good the value is. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick229 Rnd7 Hunter Wohler
They let Hunter Wohler come to them and pounced at the Round 7 slot. It fills a real need, too.
