Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Jacob Cowing got past him. The Jaguars do not have to explain a thing at Round 7, Pick 29.

They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Spending an early pick on edge rusher with interior defensive lineman, safety and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to.

Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
