Simpson should have been long gone. The Jaguars pounced, and earned a B.

The board owed the Jaguars one, and it paid up: Jaylin Simpson, the No. 151 name on the board, sitting there at pick 211 like a gift left on the doorstep. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

They will need Watts to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up.

Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
