Draft Grade — Jaguars
Overall D
ValueB NeedB+ TradesF FutureB-
Quarterback settled, Maye in the fold, and a D for the Jaguars.

Every swap seemed to tilt away from the Jaguars, and the value they bled adds up to real damage.

Whatever Drake Maye becomes, the front office has tied its fortunes to the answer. Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

However the rest shakes out, Devonshire at that price is a win they earned.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, interior defensive lineman very much included.

Pick Analysis
Pick1 Rnd1 Marvin Harrison Jr.
In the 1st overall pick they get a No. 1 receiver at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick6 Rnd1 Drake Maye
Drake Maye at pick 6 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It fills a real need, too.
Pick9 Rnd1 Rome Odunze
In the 9th pick they get a home-run threat at receiver. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick48 Rnd2 Ja'Tavion Sanders
Ja'Tavion Sanders slipping to the Round 2 slot is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick89 Rnd3 Kiran Amegadjie
A offensive lineman of that caliber at Round 3, Pick 26 is the definition of value, full stop. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick115 Rnd4 Cam Hart
Steal is underselling it; Cam Hart at No. 115 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick152 Rnd5 Jarrian Jones
They did well to land Jarrian Jones in slot 152, just ahead of his grade. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick195 Rnd6 Kendall Milton
A reasonable price with a little left over, Kendall Milton in pick No. 195. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick211 Rnd6 M.J. Devonshire
The board fumbled M.J. Devonshire all the way to pick 211, and they scooped it up. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick234 Rnd7 Tyler Owens
Tyler Owens at the 234th overall pick nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
