Johnson should have been long gone. The Jaguars pounced, and earned a D.

The Jaguars did not so much draft Kobe Hudson as overpay for him, 68 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend.

Johnson at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain.

They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and quarterback is still a hole.
