McGlothern should have been long gone. The Lions pounced, and earned a B.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Lions were there to profit. Dwight McGlothern, the No. 183 name on the board, should have been long gone before the Round 6 slot.

Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Every board in the league had Crumedy lower, and that gap is the story.

Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. Value over need was the throughline, for better and worse.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
