FutureB-
A respectable, level-headed haul for the Texans: B. Every other box got a look, but wide receiver did not. The Texans will head to camp with the same hole they walked in with. Good, not great, and the B says as much.
Mesidor has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. They banked enough surplus on Sadiq to cover a lot of smaller sins.
They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made. They left with running back solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
Pick Analysis
Pick28
Rnd1
Kenyon Sadiq
In pick 28 they get a mismatch in the passing game at a price that makes it sweeter.
Pick38
Rnd2
Sonny Styles
They paid sticker price for Sonny Styles in the 38th pick, and that is fine. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick41
Rnd2
Olaivavega Ioane
No drama and no debate, Olaivavega Ioane went about where he belonged in the 41st overall pick. The roster fit checks out.
Pick52
Rnd2
Akheem Mesidor
The board had cheaper options than Akheem Mesidor at No. 52, and it noticed. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick165
Rnd5
Jaydn Ott
Nothing to complain about; Jaydn Ott went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
