After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Jets committed. J.J. McCarthy is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline.

On value alone, Means makes the weekend a net positive. They will need Magee to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. It is not that Solomon is a bad player; it is that the Jets had louder needs to answer first.

That cornerback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
