Draft Grade — Titans
Overall B
ValueB NeedB+ TradesC FutureA+
A respectable, level-headed haul for the Titans: B.

If confidence were a draft strategy, the Titans would have aced it. Tyler Batty at the 150th overall pick is 77 spots clear of where he belonged. No fireworks, but a solid B.

The Gabriel value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

The trades cost them a sliver of value they did not need to spend.

Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick3 Rnd1 Abdul Carter
In No. 3 they get juice off the edge. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick34 Rnd2 Kaleb Johnson
A market-rate running back, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Kaleb Johnson. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick35 Rnd2 Emeka Egbuka
Emeka Egbuka slipping to the Round 2 slot is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick104 Rnd4 Charles Grant
Charles Grant at slot 104 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick119 Rnd4 Ajani Cornelius
Ajani Cornelius at pick 119 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the offensive lineman. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick142 Rnd5 Kobe King
Fair-plus on Kobe King, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick150 Rnd5 Tyler Batty
They reached into another round for Tyler Batty, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick168 Rnd5 Luke Lachey
A real head-scratcher, Luke Lachey in the 168th overall pick is miles ahead of his ranking. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick174 Rnd5 Dillon Gabriel
Dillon Gabriel at pick 174 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick180 Rnd6 Nick Nash
Steal is underselling it; Nick Nash at No. 180 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. The roster fit checks out.
Pick211 Rnd6 Akili Arnold
By-the-book stuff, Akili Arnold at Round 6, Pick 33 squarely in line with his ranking. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick241 Rnd7 Mac McWilliams
Nice patience on Mac McWilliams, who had no business lasting to the 241st pick. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
