Draft Grade — Packers
Overall
B-
ValueB-

FutureB-
No fireworks, just a tidy B- for the Packers. For all the boxes ticked, the Packers skipped the loudest one: cornerback is exactly as bare as it was.
They banked enough surplus on Sanders to cover a lot of smaller sins. Reaching for Conerly Jr. left real value on the table behind him. The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.
Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
Pick Analysis
Pick23
Rnd1
Josh Conerly Jr.
In pick 23 they get a blindside protector, even if it was a touch early. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick54
Rnd2
T.J. Sanders
They read the board right and T.J. Sanders was the payoff at pick No. 54. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick87
Rnd3
Kyle Kennard
Kyle Kennard slipping to Round 3, Pick 23 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
