Draft Grade — Lions

The Lions kept it disciplined and banked a B. For all the names on the card, the loudest question went unanswered. The Lions walked out of the weekend still thin at cornerback, a hole that has a way of deciding seasons. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.
On value alone, Alexander makes the weekend a net positive. Offensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
Good work on the whole, with cornerback the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick28
Rnd1
James Pearce Jr.
James Pearce Jr. at No. 28 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick60
Rnd2
Donovan Jackson
By-the-book stuff, Donovan Jackson at the 60th pick squarely in line with his ranking. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick102
Rnd3
Darius Alexander
A quiet steal in pick No. 102: Darius Alexander for less than the market said. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
