Draft Grade — Jaguars
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedA- TradesD FutureA
The Jaguars got the worse of every deal, and it shows in the B-.

The phones were a trap the Jaguars kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

For all the activity, offensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain. The Bech pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. However the rest shakes out, Nolen at that price is a win they earned.

On the needs board they went 5 of 9, with wide receiver the one that mattered most.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but offensive lineman.

Pick Analysis
Pick20 Rnd1 Shavon Revel Jr.
In Round 1, Pick 20 they get a ballhawk on the outside. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick36 Rnd2 Walter Nolen
Walter Nolen is a better player than slot 36 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick51 Rnd2 Jack Bech
Jack Bech at the Round 2 slot is a conviction pick that outran the value. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick70 Rnd3 Quinshon Judkins
Fair-plus on Quinshon Judkins, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick88 Rnd3 Sebastian Castro
By-the-book stuff, Sebastian Castro at pick 88 squarely in line with his ranking. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
