A solid, sensible weekend for the Chargers: B-.

You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Chargers did exactly that with J.J. Weaver in pick 218.

They banked enough surplus on Bassa to cover a lot of smaller sins. For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain.

They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
