Scott should have been long gone. The Chargers pounced, and earned a D. Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Chargers were there to profit. Justin Scott, the No. 22 name on the board, should have been long gone before the 106th pick.
They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. Reaching for Vonnahme left real value on the table behind him. The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.
In the end, a class the front office will want to grow past quickly.
