Draft Grade — 49ers
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB TradesD FutureA
The 49ers lost the trade table, and the B- tells the story.

Every swap seemed to tilt away from the 49ers, and the value they bled adds up to real damage.

They are betting Milton III proves the room right and everyone else wrong. That Wallace pick is the receipt they will wave around later.

For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. The roster is better shaped than it was, with offensive lineman chief among the fixes.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick63 Rnd2 Braden Fiske
Nothing to complain about; Braden Fiske went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick94 Rnd3 Christian Mahogany
Christian Mahogany in pick 94 is fair value, right on his grade. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick106 Rnd4 Beaux Limmer
Beaux Limmer at the 106th overall pick is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick124 Rnd4 Elijah Jones
Elijah Jones at pick No. 124 is money in the bank, a cornerback taken below his worth. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick131 Rnd4 Johnny Wilson
Johnny Wilson at Round 4, Pick 31 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick133 Rnd4 Theo Johnson
Theo Johnson slipping to the 133rd pick is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick146 Rnd5 Nehemiah Pritchett
Nehemiah Pritchett in No. 146 lands just on the right side of the ledger. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
Pick176 Rnd6 Joe Milton III
They reached a country mile for Joe Milton III at the Round 6 slot, and the board is aghast. The roster fit checks out.
Pick211 Rnd6 Ryan Flournoy
A slide stopped in No. 211, with Ryan Flournoy worth more than the price. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick215 Rnd6 Frank Gore Jr.
Frank Gore Jr. at pick 215 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick251 Rnd7 Trevin Wallace
Circle this one: Trevin Wallace at the Round 7 slot is a fall that decides a draft. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
