Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Cowboys spent the 93rd pick on Emery Jones Jr., a name most had 89 spots down the list. It grades a D, and the process earned it.

They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Moore.

With wide receiver and tight end unsolved, spending premium capital on safety is the choice that costs them. A whole weekend of picks and wide receiver is somehow still a want.
