The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Cowboys watched Caleb Ransaw slide 31 picks past his grade and did not hesitate.

The Simpkins III reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. For all the activity, tight end went untouched, which is hard to explain. The trade work was a quiet net positive.

Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the tight end spot they never got to.
