Start where it matters. The Bears took J.J. McCarthy to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one. The board rewarded a patient, disciplined weekend with a A-.

The phones were where this weekend was really won. The cost of the McCarthy reach is exactly the players who went right after him. They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
