The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Broncos reached some 97 spots for Preston Stone, and value like that does not grow back. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

Brailsford at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. The phones were where this weekend was really won. They punted on linebacker, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
