The 49ers let Mondon Jr. fall and pounced. Final grade: B+.

Somebody in the Round 7 slot was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The 49ers sat still while Smael Mondon Jr., the No. 110 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. They will need Robinson to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
