Draft Grade — Titans
Overall B+
ValueB NeedA- TradesA FutureB-
The Titans let Hicks fall into their laps, and walked away with a B+.

The Titans spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Jaden Hicks, the No. 85 name on the board, in No. 115. Call it a sensible B+, earned the boring way.

If Means pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Pick Analysis
Pick7 Rnd1 Joe Alt
In the 7th overall pick they get a blindside protector. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick39 Rnd2 T'Vondre Sweat
T'Vondre Sweat at pick No. 39 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick85 Rnd3 Javon Baker
They took Javon Baker at par in slot 85, which is nothing to complain about. It fills a real need, too.
Pick115 Rnd4 Jaden Hicks
Taking Jaden Hicks in the 115th pick is close to grand larceny; a safety that good had no business lasting this long. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick149 Rnd5 Roger Rosengarten
Value with a capital V on Roger Rosengarten in the Round 5 slot, a genuine coup. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick182 Rnd6 Kamal Hadden
Kamal Hadden slid further than he should have, and Round 6, Pick 7 is lovely value for the cornerback. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick227 Rnd7 Bub Means
They talked themselves into Bub Means at pick 227, and the board did not agree. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick240 Rnd7 Edefuan Ulofoshio
They did well to land Edefuan Ulofoshio in No. 240, just ahead of his grade. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick242 Rnd7 Frank Gore Jr.
They read the board right and Frank Gore Jr. was the payoff at Round 7, Pick 22. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
