A passer of the future in Williams, and a B, for the Bears.

The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Bears spent their marquee pick on Caleb Williams, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback. The bottom line is a respectable B.

That Mitchell pick is the receipt they will wave around later. The Smith pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped running back, which is a strange place to end up.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
