They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Caleb Williams is the Bears' quarterback, full stop. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.

The Smith reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. Getting Carson where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

The running back spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
