Nobody else had Aaron Lewis anywhere near slot 231. The Packers did, by 69 spots, and that gap is the whole story.

That Rice pick is the receipt they will wave around later. That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

Small wins on the phones, but wins all the same. The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
