Best value of the weekend goes to the Bills for Carter: B.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Bills were there to profit. Barrett Carter, the No. 80 name on the board, should have been long gone before the 172nd overall pick. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.

For all the activity, wide receiver went untouched, which is hard to explain. With wide receiver, edge rusher and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on cornerback is the choice that costs them. The roster is better shaped than it was, with linebacker chief among the fixes.

The back end got a real overhaul.

Good work on the whole, with wide receiver the one box left unchecked.
