If confidence were a draft strategy, the Jaguars would have aced it. Bryson Nesbit at the 132nd pick is 42 spots clear of where he belonged. A weekend to file away and forget, and an F to match.

They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. They are betting the present roster is worth a lighter draft next spring. That Lachey pick is the receipt they will wave around later.

There is no soft landing here; this class has to massively overperform just to matter.
