The search is over. The Broncos handed the keys to J.J. McCarthy, and the whole operation now runs on his development. It does the job without flash, and the B+ reflects it.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. Getting Clark where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

If McCaffrey pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. They punted on tight end, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
