Cowing should have been long gone. The Jets pounced, and earned a B-.

When a board-topper like Jacob Cowing slides to the 255th overall pick, you do not overthink it, and the Jets did not.

They will need Fiske to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
