Call it belief, call it a gut call, but CJ West at the 148th pick is 37 spots clear of consensus, and that is the headline.

However the rest shakes out, Ersery at that price is a win they earned. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. On the needs board they went 7 of 8, with edge rusher the one that mattered most.

They gave back a little on the phones for the right to move.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
