The trade table was a mismatch, and the Bears were on the right end of it, hauling in a fortune in surplus value. The board rewarded a patient, disciplined weekend with a A.

That Hunt pick is the receipt they will wave around later. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up.

The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own. They went 5 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Add it up and this is about as clean as a draft weekend gets.
