Draft Grade — Titans
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB- TradesD+ FutureA+
A sensible, unshowy class lands the Titans a B-.

The curious call sets the tone. With edge rusher, running back and other spots still glaring, the Titans used No. 106 on Elijah Jones, a cornerback they were not exactly short of. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.

However the rest shakes out, Trotter Jr. at that price is a win they earned. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher.

Every board in the league had Foster lower, and that gap is the story.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.

Pick Analysis
Pick19 Rnd1 Quinyon Mitchell
In pick 19 they get a potential shutdown corner. Need was not the driver here.
Pick48 Rnd2 Ladd McConkey
Ladd McConkey is a better player than Round 2, Pick 16 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick83 Rnd3 Jeremiah Trotter Jr.
A quiet steal in No. 83: Jeremiah Trotter Jr. for less than the market said. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick99 Rnd3 Cole Bishop
Cole Bishop at slot 99 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick100 Rnd3 Javon Foster
Javon Foster in pick No. 100 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick106 Rnd4 Elijah Jones
Hard to square with the roster. With positions of obvious need still on the board, Elijah Jones adds a cornerback and leaves edge rusher, running back and other spots untouched.
Pick146 Rnd5 Walter Rouse
Walter Rouse in the Round 5 slot is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick182 Rnd6 Fabien Lovett
A market-rate interior defensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Fabien Lovett. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick203 Rnd6 Tahj Washington
The board had Tahj Washington higher than pick 203, and the wide receiver fell to them anyway. It fills a real need, too.
