After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Bears committed. Caleb Williams is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline.

They banked enough surplus on Melton to cover a lot of smaller sins. The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend.

The Solomon pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at edge rusher. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Bottom line, they left the weekend a clearly better team, and they earned every bit of it.
