Draft Grade — Browns
Overall B+
ValueA- NeedB TradesA+ FutureB-
Best value of the weekend goes to the Browns for Norman-Lott: B+.

The Browns ran the phones like sharks, prying loose value on deal after deal until the ledger was lopsided.

That Norman-Lott pick is the receipt they will wave around later. They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it.

The veteran additions, Marvin Harrison Jr. chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not. They went 7 of 9 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.

Pick Analysis
Pick16 Rnd1 Ashton Jeanty
In the 16th overall pick they get a lead back with juice at a price that makes it sweeter.
Pick33 Rnd2 Walter Nolen
Value with a capital V on Walter Nolen in No. 33, a genuine coup. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick47 Rnd2 Malaki Starks
A safety of that caliber at the 47th pick is the definition of value, full stop. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick67 Rnd3 Isaiah Bond
A slide stopped in the Round 3 slot, with Isaiah Bond worth more than the price. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick94 Rnd3 Maxwell Hairston
Maxwell Hairston at pick No. 94 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick103 Rnd4 Omarr Norman-Lott
Circle this one: Omarr Norman-Lott at pick 103 is a fall that decides a draft. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick165 Rnd5 Tyler Shough
A top-tier quarterback at a bargain, Tyler Shough in the 165th overall pick, plain and simple. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick181 Rnd6 Earnest Greene III
Earnest Greene III in the Round 6 slot should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick194 Rnd6 Donovan Edwards
They did well to land Donovan Edwards in pick 194, just ahead of his grade. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
