Draft Grade — Falcons
Overall

FutureB
The Falcons bled value on every deal, hence the D-. When the story of this class is written, it opens with Jasheen Davis at pick 255, a reach of 102 spots that the board flatly disagrees with. Hard to defend, and the D- reflects that.
Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
The Bond value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.
In the end, a class the front office will want to grow past quickly.
Pick Analysis
Pick20
Rnd1
Mike Green
A straight-up fair deal on Mike Green at the Round 1 slot, value and slot in agreement. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick33
Rnd2
Jalon Walker
They read the board right and Jalon Walker was the payoff at pick No. 33. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick82
Rnd3
Alfred Collins
They barely believed it either: Alfred Collins still on the board at slot 82. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick101
Rnd3
Jared Wilson
Jared Wilson at the 101st pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick103
Rnd4
Isaiah Bond
You do not let a wide receiver like Isaiah Bond reach the 103rd overall pick and blink. They did not. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick141
Rnd5
Cobee Bryant
Cobee Bryant slid further than he should have, and pick 141 is lovely value for the cornerback. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick197
Rnd6
Desmond Watson
Desmond Watson in the 197th overall pick is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick218
Rnd7
Hayden Conner
Hayden Conner at the 218th pick is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick242
Rnd7
Craig Woodson
Steal is underselling it; Craig Woodson at the Round 7 slot is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick255
Rnd7
Jasheen Davis
Jasheen Davis at pick 255 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
