The Patriots won the night they stopped Coleman from sliding. Grade: B+. The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Patriots watched Jonah Coleman slide 95 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. A dependable weekend that grades out a B+.
The cost of the Rogers reach is exactly the players who went right after him. They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it.
The Matt Goncalves deal gives the class an established piece to lean on. The trade work was a quiet net positive.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
