The Bengals let Stockton fall into their laps, and walked away with a A-.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Bengals were there to profit. Gunner Stockton, the No. 172 name on the board, should have been long gone before the Round 7 slot. It holds up to a second look, which is why it earns the A-.

Shelby has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck.

The Bengals indulged a want in Jackson Jr. while a need in linebacker stayed open. For all the activity, linebacker went untouched, which is hard to explain.

In the end it comes back to Kadyn Proctor, and a haul good enough to build on right away.
