Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the 49ers spent the 232nd overall pick on Cooper Mays, a name most had 59 spots down the list. The board pushed back all weekend, and the D+ is the result.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Edwards. The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, interior defensive lineman very much included.
