The Gibbs reach set the tone, and the Chargers never recovered: F.

You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Chargers did exactly that with Easton Gibbs in Round 7, Pick 33. About as rough as the board gets, and a F to prove it.

They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. However the rest shakes out, Pearl at that price is a win they earned.

The bill for those future picks comes due whether the class hits or not. They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

There is no soft landing here; this class has to massively overperform just to matter.

In the Round 1 slot they get a difference-maker at receiver. Exactly the need they had to hit.
