The Chargers bled value on every deal, hence the D.

The Chargers treated their own grade as gospel and everyone else's as noise, spending Round 6, Pick 37 on R.J. Oben a full 169 spots early. Too much went sideways, and the D is the honest tally.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it.

Getting Jones Jr. where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. The bill for those future picks comes due whether the class hits or not.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and quarterback is still a hole.
